Do you have a 10, 20 or 30-year plan?
Are you willing to steadily work toward building expertise in something, a loving family, a dream career, a prosperous company?
Well the combination of Venus and Mars right now can help you do just that.
But you need to decide what you want to build, where you want to make a difference to use these influences while luckily Venus is currently inspiring ideas for how this could happen.
But you need to act quickly.
Mars and Saturn – How Passion and Commitment is like Molten Earth building new land in your life
This five-week cycle ends on December 11th when Mars moves out of its power place that is inspiring advocacy for a cause greater than yourself, or a commitment to long-term change in your life. The good news is this cycle is tag teamed with Venus which is inspiring changes which can affect most of you for decades to come.
Here’s how you can materialize what is being activated right now:
1. Commit to a long-term goal and write it down – this could be to being the healthiest, best self you can be, to seeing a happy, connected family, a successful company, to helping the homeless or educating children.
Just know in your bones how this longer-term goal helps you step into your excellence and possibly helps others at the same time.
2. Admit that there will be sacrifices that will be worth it to achieve these long-term goals (like not eating sweets this holiday season to be the healthiest you can be, or spending extra time with your children to help them succeed or stay connected, developing a skill for your career long term, or waking up early to get the quiet time you need to stay on track.)
Mars and Saturn “exchange energy” in the heavens right now, and this is opening you to new lands, literally.
The image of molten earth really explains how the Mars and Saturn energy ‘exchanging’ in the heavens helps us lay new land within our lives.
Just as hot lava rises to the surface and cools to be new land, the fiery and flowing Mars in Capricorn heats up the Earth to literally bubble-up within us and lay new tracks, new land and new ways of doing things in our habits, work, dreams and passions.
We only have four more days to actualize this potential that is pouring itself out of each of us! Step up and be in action for a cause greater than yourself, or be in action daily to help make long term changes in your life. This is what the planets are activating in each of us.
This power of exchange only exists in the Vedic Astrology system.
When planets “exchange energy” for periods of time, it brings the gifts to all of us on Earth related to the constellation’s theme and what those particular houses represent for you, according to your personal Vedic birth chart.
This power and talent exchange is called Parivatna in Sanskrit.
At the same time, if you are someone born with one of these ‘planetary energetic exchanges’ in your birth chart, it will bring you a special talent and potential during your entire lifetime, but you still have to work hard to acquire that expertise. Ultimately, this ends up being a cornerstone to what you do and the challenges and triumphs ‘light up’ during the karmic cycles when the planets in the exchange light up according to the special karmic cycles in your personal Vedic birth chart (Yet another special timing feature unique to Vedic Astrology).
You have had the chance for four weeks to access stamina and power to work through projects, planning, work and establish new routines in your life. I have been writing about this in the newsletters for Conscious Calendars since November.
Get Ready for Mercury Retrograde
The good news is that Mercury and Jupiter also have a special exchange right now.
They are like student and teacher, since they are two planets of light that build networks of learning and change in our lives, especially with a Mercury Retrograde at the same time!
It’s time to learn something new or build new relationships with a teacher or student for December and January.
For instance, my landscape design teacher is learning about herbal medicine from me while we have him consult and design our new yard. That is being both a student and a teacher.
Where in your life do you teach? Where in your life do you want to find a teacher or mentor?
Now is the time.
Mercury began this special exchange at the end of November 2016.
This Mercury and Jupiter exchange brings new connections, new relationships and new opportunities; you will just need to reach out a second time to make sure the connections have longevity because Mercury moves fast and when it retrogrades, there will be some kind of revamping or re-evaluating of relationships, agreements or contracts during the retrograde.
Mercury retrogrades from December 19, 2016 – January 8, 2017.
Make sure to read your Mercury Balance PDF for tips on how to use any Mercury Retrograde. (All paid subscribers get this and the Mercury Report which lists all the retrogrades through Dec 2017).
Late November Mercury moved into Sagittarius and activated this special energy relationship with the great teacher in each of our lives, Jupiter.
So, this Mercury retrograde will not be as “off the charts” as the previous one in August/September, but with this special exchange it will not be as distracting a retrograde as usual – and might even hold some unique and long term gifts in the form of relationships, teachings and activating and protecting your brain, memory and neuronal health – as well as apparent set-backs in major projects in neuroscience which will ultimately change the way the entire profession operates and helps people with neurological issues, like MS, Parkinson’s or depression.
Venus in Capricorn Dec 3 – Dec 28
Get ready to be inspired and innovative, to connect the dots by combining two different worlds, and making a huge impact.
This Venus is what inspired the invention of peanut butter cup, two great things combined to make something better. I say this partially in jest, but this Venus is a truly inventive one – these planetary influences help you use both sides of your brain and combine two great ideas or arenas of commerce to make something new, like when the peanut butter cup was invented, or a school teacher took very basic Chinese medicine herbs and made it into a multi-million dollar company by adding fizz to it. (That company is Airborne by the way. The owner was featured on Oprah before she sold the company).
What is going to be your peanut butter cup moment?
Full Moon in Taurus on Dec. 13 & 14 is great for grounding your holiday wishes.
The moon turns full on December 14 at 0:05 UTC (or at US time zones: on December 13 at 7:05 p.m. EST, 6:05 p.m. CST, 5:05 p.m. MST and 4:05 p.m.).
One time a month the Moon becomes what we call ‘exalted’ in Indian Astrology.
And this month the Moon is full very close to where it is exalted!
As a result, this is the time of deep, shining reflection of your ever-present wisdom – and most importantly you can discover ways to lead yourself to peace and happiness in concrete ways, not just ideas of it.
And this moon arrives each year as the sun is actually waning in strength of rays and brightness in the northern hemisphere.
In the southern hemisphere, this is an extremely full time.
But because Saturn is involved (it is opposite the full moon in Scorpio) there will be some delay or obstacle to overcome – which ultimately strengthens your spirit, improves your product or health if you listen and understand how discipline or giving something up strengthens you in the end. Often the giving up is related to incorrect or inflated expectations.
