Be Loved in New Ways – Connect in New Ways
This month is about doing things differently and re-setting and fully healing deep, old patterns.
Depending on your personal patterns, you might try being vulnerable when you are someone who normally toughs things-out, having people over to your house even if it isn’t ‘ready’, or calling or emailing someone you want to meet romantically or a mentor you want to learn from are all stretches – and are all healing patterns if you usually hold back – reach out – connect Jupiter and Venus are calling you to act.
I am not saying it will be necessarily pretty or that there will no resistance – take a deep breath and TRY anyway.
This will help heal patterns from 12 and 24 years ago for some of you. You CAN consciously shift your mindset, your heart-mind by acting differently. Embody the change. The Universe says Yes right now!
Allow yourself to be loved in new ways, allow yourself to feel connected to others and the world in new ways – that is what this Venus is about. It is balm for the soul.
While Jupiter connects many of you to new healing techniques, new methods, doctors, herbs, modalities or information. New healing methods might cross your path this month, check them out, they are leading you toward a solution or resolve of a health issue. Once Jupiter goes direct in June then all the information will fall into place.
For the month of May, new healing approaches are being presented to you.
Buddha Full Moon
May 9/10 2017 is called Buddha Poornima.
Today is Vesak, or Vashaika in the Indian lunar Calendar.
This is the day that the birth, enlightenment and passing of the Buddha is celebrated around the world.
May you discover and embody your inner Buddha nature of light by remembering to honor life, be generous, kind and mindful of the power of speech.
Buddha became enlightened while under the Maha Bodhi Tree in Bodhgaya India (Image of the current Bodhi Tree).
This tree was grown from a sapling which itself grew as a sapling from the original Bodhi Tree under which Buddha sat.
Buddha is connected with the planet Mercury.
Mercury is the planet of speech and communication, and one aspect of the mind.
It’s a double resonance today since Mercury is said to be connected with the manifestation of Buddha on Earth as an avatar of Visnu.
And Wednesday is Mercury’s day, and the Buddha Full Moon is on Wednesday. See the connection?
Mantra for Mercury
The mantra for Mercury, sung on Wednesdays often in the Indian tradition is actually naming our Buddha Mind – or Buddhi.
Om Bum Buddhaya Namaha!
Bum is pronounced as Boong, as in loon, with an ng, or anusvara sound at the end.
Buddhi is the aspect of mind or consciousness which draws us toward Truth (Sat) or toward investigating the nature of True Self. The purpose of Buddhi you could say is that the curious mind is drawn toward its Highest Purpose, to understand Self, the Universe and its place within the endless web.
When a mind or Buddhi attempts to understand, to become awakened and to experience more than KNOWing, only then does knowledge become wisdom, which is associated with Jupiter.
Since Mercury is the son of Jupiter in many of the Indian stories or Puranas, the young mind can grow into true widsom with time and application, but true wisdom has nothing to do with ‘knowing facts’.
One of my teaching communities has this to say about Mercury:
“According to the Linga Purana, Mercury is the son of the Moon by his wife Rohini. Yet in the Vishnu Purana, Brahma Purana, Devi Bhagvata Bhagwat Purana, Harivansha Purana, Padma Purana and Vayu Purana a story is told of the seduction of Brahaspati’s (Jupiter’s) wife Tara by the Moon – and Buddha is born from her.” from Harish Johari community and Sanatan Society.
There is no music or audio in the video on purpose, in honor of the silent Buddha-mind.
Tomorrow May 11, 2017 is connected with Truth in a different way, since it is connected with a special messenger from above who can take the form of someone saying Uncomfortable Truths, but who speaks Divine Truth.
