FULL MOON IN SAGITTARIUS
The full moon in Sagittarius occurs June 28
at 4:54 AM UTC / 5:54 AM BST / 12:54 AM EDT / 3:54 PM AESTĀ and JUNE 27 9:53 PM PDT
We have two themes with this Full Moon
On the one hand this full moon is about fullness, expansion of light and what ‘drives your purpose and sense of meaning in life‘ because the full moon is in Sagittarius, the fire sign of Spiritual Inquiry, a sign of intensity and drive and of of how you fulfill your life’s purpose.
We have just passed the CENTER of the year, with solstice just a few days ago. It’s natural on this special full moon, to reflect on the rest of this year and how you envision your life to be in six months.Ā
The FIRST THEME is shared later in this blog, keep reading.
HUGE NEW IDEAS WILL COME TO SOME GENIUS (AND YOU) ON THIS FULL MOON
This full moon is one of those days that some scientist is scribbling a formula on a blackboard or has let his attempts to solve something go – and the epiphany they will have will change or add to the laws of Physics and our understanding of black holes, time and the effects will ripple out from there.
These new ideas will come from revisiting the ‘old ways’ of doing things and a new discovery will be made!
This applies to you and new ideas too. So, if you are building something NEW and different, or if you are recombining things in new ways, this is your secret message to keep going!
The end may not be fully clear now, just stay steady, and persevere.
Let go of what is holding you back, and trust what comes to you in a dream or daydream. These moment of inspiration are aligned with the great currents of information.
This is from 6Ā alignments at this full moon ~
from the center of our Galaxy through Sagittarius to Gemini is: Galactic Center ~ Saturn ~ Moon ~ Earth ~ Sun and Mercury.
Saturn is retrograding with the Moon in Sagittarius between the center of our Galaxy and the Earth, and the Earth is between the Sun & Mercury in Gemini. Wow!
Meditation on this full moon day will be very different, expect it to take longer to get into the meditative state, and for it to be deep and rewarding, with delayed responses and ideas that come to you at a later time.
Be open to lightning moments of inspiration, if you find a quiet space to rest and linger. These Purple Days will be rewarding if you act methodically and persevere with what is revealed on these Purple Days.
The first theme of the full moon asks you to notice what drives you. What motivates you to act?
This question has a twist.
Passion and drive ~ Some people seek or want more passion in their lives or feel that something is lacking.
The wise moon says to you, “Remember, when we seek excitement or “what is missing”, we often are still left wanting when we ‘get what we thought we wanted’.”
What is it you want in life?
If you have desire now, or a hole that feels like it needs filling, then you will likely have desire when you achieve your goal – whatever the goal is.
Gain perspective on what you are truly seeking.
Often when people seek happiness, they are seeking to be free of their suffering.
Use the light of this full moon to STOP, step back, see if you can develop “observer Self”.
See if you can see who is reading this blog post, who is having the thoughts about this sentence?
You can at once be present and also notice that there is an observer Self at the same time.
Notice the noticing. Notice who is speaking when you speak.
This detached sense of Self is what leads us deeper into the Truth. Truth leads to freedom.
And it just so happens that Saturn is the planet of Truth and the planet that is connected with the Moon on Wednesday and Thursday.
Thursday June 28 is a FULL MOON and is also a Purple Day in the Conscious Calendars system. (It visually is at its peak on Wednesday night around the world. The moon will peak just before 10 pm Pacific Time.)
Purple Days in the Conscious Calendars system simply mean that the Moon is in the same constellation as Saturn (or is opposite it).
So, this full moon is with Saturn in Sagittarius.
Saturn is a planet of truth, science, inquiry, left-brain technical analysis, physical suffering/death, detachment and of asceticism and moksha or spiritual freedom (because suffering takes us on our spiritual path).
And Saturn is the planet of Time.
The ‘un-healed pattern’ of Saturn is also about constriction and fear. Wherever life contracts, where ever fear rules, nothing can grow. The ‘healed and integrated pattern’ of Saturn is about detachment, being able to be neutral. Equanimity (not drawn by attraction and desire, nor repelled by fear) leads to freedom and ultimately leads us to develop deep compassion and universal love and kindness.
With the expanding energy of this full moon let the ‘just-right-Goldilocks-feeling’ be with you where you are right now. All is well right now, take a deep breathe. As you stop, and notice with this very inhale or exhale.
Just wait, aha! This is not about not-doing anything. It is about releasing the drive and expectation you might have of ANY action taken. When you release the expectation of result, when you give freely of yourself with no fear and no expectation of what will happen then,Ā like a child, you can just do what is the next thing – fully.Ā This helps action come from a self-generating place.
*Ah, we have arrived at how letting go can move you into creativity and co-creation.
Second Theme of the Full Moon
Observe yourself and Let go of the results. This will expand your possibilities.
You expand the possibilities in the moment by letting go of everything in the moment. This is where Quantum Physics and Quantum leaps occur ~ when we truly let go in the moment, possibilities present themselves.
Uprooting ~Ā the path to gathering true wisdom
The second theme of this full moon is one of uprooting.
When we uproot our attachments to objects, success, goals, expectations and even our attachments to NOT achieving (failures) or a stuck story that is comfortable, we are able to allow ourselves to serve. We can do anything in the moment and respond freely.
This is acting in alignment with your Highest Good (not some prescribed ‘purpose’. Just showing up and being you is a beautiful thing!
A full moon of expanded light mixed with uprooting and clearing? What? These themes are actually not opposing each other? The full moon is asking us in full light and power to uproot what no longer serves us – it’s time to get rid of some baggage and the energy is here to support you to do it. And to do things differently.
We cannot just grow, grow, grow our entire lives – we would all be GIANTS if that was the case.
Three Phases in Life
Create, Grow and Let go – are the three main energies that exist in the world.
In order to create or grow, the first two phases, we must let go at some point. Letting Go helps the cycle begin all over again!
The Moon is in an intense place on Wednesday/Thursday; it is all about uprooting what no longer serves you. And while the moon is full, it gives the energy to really clear what you need to. It is much better to choose to let go, than have it ripped from your hands.
Have you ever noticed that “having nice things” also causes fear of losing them? As you let go of things, and patterns you find freedom.
Themes Reverberate
The two themes reverberate for a week beyond the full moon into the first week of July.
So as you gather with family in early July (for Canada Day or Fourth of July in the US, or post mid-winter for you in the southern hemisphere) you might notice that you long to “let something go”.
It might be a burden with your community or family, a grudge, or an opinion of a family member, or a story that has you stuck in a pattern.
What if you could let go of that view and receive compassion for that irritating family member or neighbor instead? What if you could Let Go of that story or tape that you keep replaying?
Forgive yourself and let it go!
Are you the king or queen or your own isolation?
Isolation is usually from some kind of fear, and ‘science shows’ that ironically enough reaching out to friends right when you want to isolate will help everyone to experience well being.
You actually change a pattern, when you act differently. So, for some of you, to sit and be quiet instead of getting on social media is the best remedy of letting go.
For others, reaching out to a friend and just being together is the balm that bridges your healing to accept a family member in a loving way.
You are magic when you release and ‘let go of limiting thoughts’. The way to let go of limiting thoughts, is to take action in a new way, in a new pattern. This creates new pathways in the brain. If you have issues with exercising, just go ahead and stretch on the floor for 2 minutes. That is changing the pattern. Then 2 minutes feels liberating and turns into 4 minutes a few days later.
Even try Letting go of what you think is holding you back! No excuses to give, just start acting differently around the pattern you have some story about.
No talk needed.
Take a deep breath and step away from what causes you pain – what you think causes you pain.
Vedic Astrology & the constellation of the Full Moon
Remember, the new and full moons are according to the Vedic Astrology sky map! It is the same as an astronomer uses, and ‘sounds’ like it is in a different constellation than Western astrologers and the internets might say. Trust that the Vedic Sky Map is the experience of standing on Earth looking to the sky. The Moon and the planets are in the constellations that you see directly with your own eyes when observing from Earth.
