Mercury begins to retrograde on Thursday Oct 31 and finally goes direct on Wednesday Nov 20, 2019.
Mercury in Water Signs
Mercury is in Scorpio (a deep, mysterious water sign) when it begins retrograding. Remember July with the crazy eclipses? Mercury was retrograding in a water sign then too. Communications and our nervous systems can get short-circuted and frazzled when Mercury retrogrades in a water sign. Think of how communications get muffled under water and frayed wires in water are dangerous. If your nervous system are the wires, and the tendency for the wires to get frazzled then you want to protect those wires with insulation. That is why I am recommending all things that help calm the nervous system and also increase the insulation.
So eat more oils like ghee to help build ‘insulation’ for your nervous system (and build gray matter). Eat healthy, vegetable sources of fats like avocado (even though we are in November). Olives and nut milks and coconut milk all are high in vegetable fat. Even hemp seeds are a healthy source of essential fatty acids which we need as humans for our basic daily needs. I’ll share with you in another place the ways that I get lots of good vegetable fatty acids for increased daily success in my huge output with work.
Calm and Harmonize the Nervous System during Mercury Retrograde

This is a way to gently change a mental pattern you are in, and shift mind-set simply by changing where you are in a room or building, or making a movement with your body or eyes to create change and break or shift a “story-loop” as I call it.
As you learn to calm and re-stabilize yourself, these become new neuronal paths that your body and mind can enact faster and faster to restore you to calm and feeling centered easier.
Meditators return to balance (called homeostasis) faster and sooner and can make decisions from that centered place within themselves.
Nourish your ability to cosmically communicate
There is another message this Mercury Retrograde brings:
- to allow messages to come to you from deep within your inner wisdom. You are an ocean of wisdom!
- And to discover the “wireless” way to cosmically communicate
Have you ever noticed how someone often contacts you after you have been thinking of them or of that period of time in your life? Well, there is both a logic and an incredible subconscious series of connections happening all at the same time. Many call this serendipity or intuition.
Without going into too many names, just be open to discovering new ways that you can communicate with and understand the world around you.The ability to listen and perceive and communicate can take on magical proportions, but are really about slowing down and allowing the ancient abilities embedded within every human being to come forward. This especially occurs when we spend more and more time in and with nature. The animals and insects and birds are all communicating in these ‘wireless’ ways which are logical and magical. It is just a language to learn.You can develop the same abilities that a ‘nature-man’ has acquired – you just need to slow down and begin listening and observing in new ways. This is the perfect time to do so with this Mercury Retrograde.
It is time to develop new abilities of communicating.
