The Mega Red Day and partial solar eclipse occurs on August 11, 2018 and is the last eclipse of the year.

This eclipse will be visible from northern and eastern Europe, in the Arctic, Greenland, Iceland, Scandanavia, the farthest northeastern portions of Canada and north and east parts of Asia (see NASA map below).

This is the third of three eclipses in one lunar month and this the last eclipse of the year and the last eclipse of five eclipses for 2018.

The New Moon peaks only ten minutes from the peak of the solar eclipse – so all spiritual practices up to three hours before, during and after are potentized when you sit and meditate, sing mantra, or do any practice which dissolves the ego, or deepens your spiritual connection.

New Moon in Cancer

This New Moon and solar eclipse in Cancer is a perfect recipe to dissolve emotions which trigger us. This is not about spiritual bypass ~ this is about facing a fear, anxiety, trigger or pattern and looking at it face-on, and to keep breathing through the experience.
Redefining what fear or anxiety IS in your body:

As you watch an emotion rise, come to the surface and dissolve you develop the ability to not let every emotion ‘take you over’. This is a crucial skill in mastering your mind, developing excellence in any field of work and in becoming more developed in your practices.

The partial solar eclipse will be visible from northern and eastern Europe, northern parts of North America, and some northern and western locations in Asia (see NASA map below).  The wide swath of land and populated area shadowed by this solar eclipse, may make it the most watched solar eclipse of 2018. In Vedic Astrology, it is not recommended to watch a solar eclipse for many reasons; most of which it is a time for deepening spiritual practices and remaining inside and in meditation. Test it. The ancient way is to see what happens when you take the time to meditate at the peak time of eclipse.
