The Sun moves into Cancer constellation
Our vantage point on Earth as we look OUT to the cosmos shifts as we orbit around the Sun. So, each solar month the Sun appears to inhabit a different constellation. And as of today, the Sun appears to glow from the constellation of the Crab (Cancer).
The Vedic Solar month is from July 17 until August 17 this year
This is beginning a wave of relief because the Sun has ‘moved out’ of the eclipse patterns.
Calming of our Nervous System
The eclipse patterns are in Gemini and Sagittarius right now. So, as the Sun “moves out” of Gemini our nervous systems can begin to calm down.
More Good News
Right after the Sun leaves the zones of turmoil, Venus also shifts from Gemini into Cancer. This will bring some reprieve to the intensity of July 2019.
Every time the Sun shifts constellations (because we are orbiting the Sun remember), this sets where the next new moon will occur.
New Moon in Cancer
So, the next new moon will be in Cancer constellation.
The Sun in the sign of the moon, Cancer, connects our vitality and ability to replenish our energy for the month with the element of water.
Each new moon connects with a different element, and thus sets a focus for our healing for the month.
This next month from July 24 – August 17, the water element within our bodies becomes more primed to offer us ways to heal our bodies. Water is the source of all life on the planet its true, so as humans we can always improve our vitality with fresh, clean, spring water.
Aligned and Resonant Actions for the month bring extra healing qualities into our lives. Try using healing modalities like Flower Essences and Floating (sensory deprivation tanks) and you will gain even more healing. A steam sauna or adding essential oils to your baths and taking more baths during this time is also a resonant way to tap into the Element that is charged for the month.
The new moon will be in a water sign and the full moon will be in an Earth sign in August. The new and full moons create a beautiful spiral as we dance through the cosmos.
Water Element
The new moon in a water element will also point to a focus of recovering energy from our oceans in a new way because Jupiter is sending its problem-solving energy (called a drishti) or waves of light to the constellation of Cancer. Look for a significant new milestones to be reached in the world of Wave Energy.

New Moon in Cancer
The New Moon in Cancer will occur on August 1, 2019 (Universal Time), but happens to occur on July 31, 2019 for Pacific Time at 8:11 pm PDT.
(This is on the July 2019 Conscious Calendar that I made in 2018 to make sure that you could plan on which night the moon would appear fullest and plan your summer travel with ease.)
Sun and Vital Forces
Our vital forces (connected with the sun) like electrolyte balance and subtle hormonal fluctuations will become less erratic now that the Sun is out of the eclipse patterns.
July 13 – 17, 2019 was particularly destabilizing for some people
Saturn has finished crossing ‘seeking’ Ketu by July 15. Then the eclipse occurred July 16 or 17, depending on where you lived.
The three days before a lunar eclipse can build a sense of anxiety in some, and this lunar eclipse also combined Saturn retrograding across the eclipse pattern Ketu while the partial lunar eclipse occurred. Conscious Calendars Annual Subscribers were told about this tricky range of time in the Monthly Videos which Kathleen shared at the beginning of July.
Everyone responds differently to lunar eclipses and your personal Vedic Birth Chart has some influence in how you respond to each set of eclipses every six months.
For instance, if you are born with the Sun, Moon or your Ascendant or health planet in Gemini or Sagittarius, then you might have felt the solar and/or lunar eclipse on July 2 /3 and July 16/17 a bit more.
If you would like to know if you have important planets in Gemini and Sagittarius (if this last eclipse was a bit intense), then you might want a Vedic Astrology Session with Kathleen. www.consciouscalendars.com/coaching
July 2019
Venus and our sense of ‘what we want’ might get temporarily confused
Venus is caught up in the confusing eclipse patterns for most of July. So, if you or someone you love waffles back and forth about things in the month of July, cut them some slack and extend some compassion for their confused state. If it is you who is confused, try not to judge yourself and realize things will be clearer in just a matter of weeks.
Perhaps don’t make any emotional, large purchases unless you know you can return the item. Impulse buying can increase when Rahu and Venus are together, or there is a tendency for fantasy of getting things done and then there is no follow through.
This Venus Rahu combination will be here through July 22. So, before Mercury finishes its retrograde, you will be getting a little reprieve.
By the end of July you will begin to have new information (keep reading – that is about the end of Mercury Retrograde) and find some clarity about what you and how you really want to do things for the rest of the year.
Before you go planning the rest of your year – wait until the Eclipse Season of July is over and for the last week of Mercury Retrograde to bring a few answers. Then, you can gather some energy and by the first week of August you can start to move forward or have important meetings which will inform the rest of your year.
Green Days in August
With 12 Green Days in August, the Quarterly and Annual Subscribers have already been looking ahead and planning their fall (spring in the southern hemisphere). We have some special combinations gathering forces after July.
Mars in Cancer constellation with Mercury Retrograde
Mars in Cancer can affect the Mars rising folks a bit more with fatigue and listlessness. Getting ample vital food which nourishes the blood is important. For some that is having raw beets juiced, for others it is getting enough leafy greens with its minerals to have a balanced physiology.
Mars in Cancer is a Peace Maker who can also have messy boundaries. So be aware that if you are just going along to not ruffle any feathers for something that is important to you, you might regret it and lose energy because you are not acting in alignment.
Versus, when we go along with superficial things which do not really matter in the long run to keep the peace and have a good time with family. Sometimes staying silent and smiling are the best option – and this is often a Peace cultivating and energy conserving move.
Mars travels through Cancer once every two years for approximately two months.
