Venus Moves into Libra
Venus finally shifted on Nov 16, 2020 to one of its most powerful places in the sky – after being in its weakest and most disconnected place all year long.
Venus in Virgo brings challenges to us all, each year. (The Sun and Venus were both ‘challenged’ in early November which decreased our feeling of vitality and a sense of connection.) Venus joined Mercury in Libra mid-month bringing access to harmony and a knowing that kindness can make a difference. Inspiration and creativity started to light up after Nov 16 too.
Mercury and Venus in Good-giving place
Both Mercury and Venus are in the ‘good giving’ constellation of Libra which brings connection and balance into our lives.
Just before this, the Sun was also at its weakest for a month, giving us all challenges with vitality, will power and a sense of withdrawal. Within a few hours of the New Moon on Nov 15, we shifted in our orbit around the sun, and the sun appeared to move out of its weakest place all year.
Coming out of the dark time of year
This trifecta – the dark moon, the weak sun, and the weak Venus gave us all a challenge that finally shifted on Nov 16!

Now we have a waxing moon building in light, with Venus and Mercury supporting us to reach out and find delight in life.
December Solstice turns the energy of the year around and returns us to the light. We are meant to turn inward during the longer nights (in the northern hemisphere, in the winter) and discover new insights about ourselves. With the deeper sleep and nourishment, we can relax more when we connect with others.
It is a creative time of year, this year.
